The Steering Rack Boot is a durable rubber boot that acts as a seal to protect the Steering Rack from any water and debris damaging it.
In time, these boots can perish and start to crack, it is important to change them as soon as you notice this to protect the steering racks internal components.
A split or damaged boot is also an MOT Failure.
